Many visitors to Africa are curious about camping. They are curious about what they need to pack, whether they should carry a tent, camping regulations, safety among other issues.

However, the requirements for a camping safari are dependent on the country you plan to visit; its terrain, climate and so on.

To begin with there is no rule of thumb for how and where camping can be done. However, there certain rules and regulations in game parks, cities and certain regions. As far as packing a tent is concerned, you should do so only when planning a trip to the remotest parts of the continent where no or little accommodation can be found. But if planning to visit tourist countries such as Egypt, Kenya and South Africa, you should not bother packing a tent as most guest houses provide tents.
